मराठी चित्रपटांत सध्या वेगवेगळे विषय सक्षमपणे हाताळले जात आहेत. पण सध्याच्या या वाटचालीत ऐतिहासिक चित्रपटाची निर्मिती करणे हे एक धाडसच आहे. आणि हे धाडस आहे नगर जिल्ह्यातील सौ. मंदाताई शरदराव निमसे, आपल्या जिजाई चित्र, शिर्डी या चित्रपट निर्मिती संस्थेचे. या संस्थेअंतर्गत 'राजमता जिजाऊ' या ऐतिहासिक चित्रपटाची निर्मिती करण्यात येत आहे. चित्रपटाचे दिग्दर्शक यशवं भालकर, निर्मात्या सौ. मंदाताई निमसे, शरदराव निमसे आणि चित्रपटात जिजाऊंची भूमिका साकारणार्‍या प्रा. डॉ. स्मिता देशमुख यांनी राष्ट्रपती प्रतिभाताई पाटील यांची भेट घेतली. निर्मितीसंस्थेतर्फे त्यांना राजमाता जिजाऊंचे स्मृतीचिन्ह दिले. साहसी आणि दैदिप्यमान चरित्रशिल्प घडविणार्‍या जिजाऊंवर चित्रपटनिर्मिती करण्याच्या धाडसाचे कौतुक राष्ट्रपतींनी केले. कथानकाविषयी जाणून घेऊन शिवाजीच्या व्यक्तीरेखेसंदर्भात विचारणा केली व सर्वांना शुभेच्छा दिल्या.

गेली १५ वर्षांपासून बुलढाण्याच्या प्रा. डॉ. स्मिता देशमुख या 'मी जिजाऊ बोलतेय...' या एकपात्री नाटकाचा प्रयोग करत आहेत. फेब्रुवारी अखेरीस चित्रपटाच्या चित्रीकरणाला सुरुवात होणार असून पहिले सत्र फलटनच्या वाडयात तर दुसरे भोरच्या वाडयात होईल. बाबासाहेब सौदागर यांनी लिहिलेल्या, शशांक पोवर यांनी संगीतबद्ध केलेली कैलाश खेर आणि सुरेश वाडकर यांच्या आवाजातली गाणी रेकॉर्ड झाली आहेत. मदन पाटील यांच्या जिजाऊ साहेब कादंबरीवर आधारीत या चित्रपटाची पटकथा आणि संवाद प्रताप गंगावणे यांनी लिहीले आहेत. चित्रपटासाठी नितीन देसाई यांनी कला दिग्दर्शन केले आहे. कार्यकारी निर्मात्याची जबाबदारी राहूल खंडारे यांच्याकडे असून प्रसिद्धीची सूत्रे भूपेंद्रकुमार नंदन करत आहेत.

बेला शेंडे यांच्या 'अर्पण' या अल्बमचे प्रकाशन

'फाउंटन म्युझिक कंपनी'तर्फे डॉ. शेंडे यांनी स्वरबद्ध केलेल्या आणि बेला शेंडे यांनी गायलेल्या मराठी भावगीतांच्या 'अर्पण' या अल्बमचे प्रकाशन बुधवारी २७ जानेवारी रोजी प्रसिद्ध अभिनेते प्रशांत दामले यांच्या हस्ते झाले. निमित्त होते डॉ. शेंडे यांच्या षष्टयब्दीपूर्तीचं. एस. एच. एंटरप्रायझेस' तर्फे आयोजित या कार्यक्रमात 'सकाळ'चे संपादक सुरेशचंद्र पाध्ये यांच्या हस्ते त्यांचा सत्कार करण्यात आला. यावेळी 'फाउंटन'चे कांतिभाई ओसवाल या वेळी उपस्थित होते. या अल्बममधील काही रचना बेला शेंडे यांनी सादर केल्या. उत्तरार्धात प्रसिद्ध गायक शौनक अभिषेकी यांनी 'स्वराभिषेक' हा पं. जितेंद्र अभिषेकी यांनी स्वरबद्ध केलेल्या नाटयगीतांचा कार्यक्रम सादर केला. 'फाउंटन म्युझिक' निर्मित या अल्बममध्ये कवी विंदा करंदीकर, वा. रा. कांत, सुरेश भट, शांता शेळके यांच्या रचनांचा समावेश आहे. यात भावगीतांसह गझल, रोमॅटिक गीते आहेत. या गीतांचे ध्वनीमुद्रण करताना सारंगी, सतार, बासरी आणि व्हायोलिन या वाद्यांचा वापर करण्यात आला आहे.

Harishchandrachi Factory is Mumbai-based theatre actor-director Paresh Mokashi’s debut film that is on the making of Raja Harishchandra, India’s first full length feature film made in 1913 by the pioneer of Indian cinema Dadasaheb Phalke.

Went for the movie on first day and it did not disappoint me at all…!!!

The story is about a typical Maharashtrian named Dinkar rao Bhosale (Sachin Khedekar). People call him “Ghati” (Correct meaning - Belonging to the Ghats of Sahyadri but vastly misunderstood as a very down market person with vernacular English accent). He faces many situations in his life where he is ridiculed like any thing. His daughter who wants to be a bollywood star is denied a role and the reason being the “Ghati” surname. A ruthless builder is trying to get hold of his property at a throw away price by bribing municipal officials. Annoyed with everything happening around, he puts the blame on his “Bhosale”…!!!
This makes Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosale (Mahesh Manjarekar) himself to travel across ages and remind Dinkar about the great ancestry this surname carries. Chhatrapati himself along with a mavala (a Marathi warrier played by Makarand Anaspure) guide him through his life and make the world understand the meaning of being Ghati…
