It is very important to all those dealers who order used cars online and cannot visit Japan physically to check the condition of the vehicle. The grading systems are always performed under extremely strict and standardized manner. Grading for Panel and Rust

XX: Panel is not the same as fitted by the company and has been changed.

X: Panel extremely damaged and is required to be changed.

S1: Slightly rust, i.e. rust is to a very little extent and can be ignored.

S2: Rust a slightly more than S1 and it is better to be repaired after some time.

S3: Rust is extreme and considered necessary to be repaired.

Grading with descriptions of Japanese used cars

S: As good as an unused car

9 to 5: The car has not done lots of mileage and so it is in excellent condition

4.5: Immaculate condition and no need of repair

4: Reasonably better in condition but little repair is required

3.5: Slight repair work is required

3. The car has been used a lot and done high mileage; therefore, repair is necessarily required

2: Condition of Japanese used cars is not very bad

1: Altered, Modified, Debased or Affected Car

R: The car is the Accidental and/or repaired

RA: Extremely Accidental and Repaired car

R1: High Damage due to extreme accident and has been repaired

RA1: Accidental and not repaired Japanese used cars, and can only be used for parts recycle use, non-drivable vehicle

Grading for the condition of Interior

A: Condition is excellent

B: Condition is better and the interior is comparatively clean

C: Normal condition with slight repair

D: Below average condition, lots of burns, cracks, dirt that are impossible to be removed.

E: Worst condition, some gaps or cracks on dashboard, dirt, break or odor

W1: A very slight wave on panel

W2: Slightly larger wave, comparatively larger than W1 on panel

W3: Very Large wave on the panel

U1: Very slight dent that can be ignored

U2: Small dent but repair can be preferred

U3: Large dent and repair is necessary

Y1: little crack

Y2: large crack

B: Dents need to be repaired

P: Repainting is required

BP: Dents and paint repair both are required

C: Corrosion

G: Stone chip

A1: Very light to no scratches

A2: Very light to moderate scratches

A3: Extreme scratches
