Scholars warn democracy & Islamic Sharia law aren't compatible

The big question remains for America is  who will lead this  "representative government" in Egypt once Mubarak is gone. Americans  are concerned  that the front leader is the  Muslim Brotherhood, a radical Islamic group that President Obama described to Bill O'Reilly as "well organized" with "strains of their ideology that are anti US."
 
"Sharia law is the law in Egypt," warns  Johnson, urging complete awareness that it is unrealistic to hope to " meld democracy and an Islamic culture," because, again,  Islam Sharia Law and democracy, as Americans know it, are incompatible.
 

Although a change  could be as Henry Kissinger recently discribed it  "disastrous"  Johnson feels there is little America can do but proceed cautiously and hope to protect ourselves and our allies, such as Israe
